The Patient-Doctor Relationship |
ADULTS - generally prefer to come to the examining room alone. In this way freedom in the patient-doctor relationship can be established. The doctor-patient relationship is confidential. For this reason, in most circumstances, we will not give information regarding a patient to others without written authorization from the patient. However, this decision is left up to the parties concerned.
Certain procedures, such as hernia or varicose vein operations can be performed at Northwestern Memorial Hospital or at an alternative outpatient Surgical center.
CHILDREN - At Northwestern Memorial Hospital Dr. Vazquez treats patients 16 years of age and older. Children under the age of 16 years are referred to physicians at Childrens Memorial Hospital or the Evanston Hospital.
